Young Athletes Assistance Program
The Young Athletes Assistance Program is back but with net eligibility criteria and scope of financial assistance. More details available on Sport and Recreation Queensland website:
§ Max. financial assistance is $200.00
§ Must reside more than 200km (one way from event location)
§ Financial assistance is only available once every two years
§ Are residents of Queensland for more than 12 months prior to the championship
§ Are under the age of 18 at the start of the championship
§ Compete at a Queensland State Championship or Queensland School Sport Championship within the last 6 months
§ Funding is not available for national and international sporting events
§ Athletes are only eligible to receive financial assistance once every two years
§ Lodging an application does not guarantee funding. |

This office manages representative school sport (state and non-state) at both the Primary and Secondary levels and is guided by a representative body, the South Coast School Sport Board.
Geographically, our regional boundaries extend north to Shailer Park, west to Beaudesert and south to the NSW border.

REGIONAL TRIAL DATE CHANGE:
12yrs & U Boys Cricket has been brought forward to Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 September 2009. The venue continues to be The Southport Prep School oval on Lupus Street Southport.
PLEASE NOTE:
The venue for the National Cross Country Championships - Primary & Secondary has been changed from Camden to 'Willandra', Browns Mtn Road - 10k North West of Nowra (NSW) and approx 3 hours south of Sydney. |
