There are a number of avenues for parents to access funding for their children involved in school sport.
Local Sporting Champions program
This is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12–18 towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships or a School Sport Australia state or national championships.

South West Indigenous Network (SWIN)

Applying for and using FairPlay vouchers
Key dates
- 24 January 2024: Round 10 opens at 9am for parents, carers or guardians to apply for vouchers
- 1 May 2024: Round 10 applications close
- 29 May 2024: Round 9 and 10 vouchers must be presented to an activity provider.
Round 9 redemption dates extended
Parents, carers and guardians can continue to give expired Round 9 vouchers to activity providers under the FairPlay program up until 29 May 2024.
Please note, no new vouchers will be issued for Round 9.
