Amazing effort!
Four fantastic days at Rockhampton at the QRSS 14-17yr Water Polo State Championships
This fantastic effort was led by our Amazing Teacher Officials:
Manager: Lesley Hipgrave (South Coast Life Member & awarded 15yrs of service with QRSS)
Coach: Emma Moore whose analytical mind and tactics enabled the boys to play a high standard of Water Polo as a collaborative and cohesive team.
Special mention to Matt Negline who coached most of these players for the past 4 years.
Defeat Met East 8-7 in Final to win GOLD MEDAL.

The boys were captained by Riley McPharlin. A thrilling Grand Final finish with outstanding defence from Josh Bowden and GK Blair Durbridge. Alex Doherty scored the crucial goal in the last minute and South Coast defeated Metropolitan East 8-7.
Of our team of 13 boys have had four players selected in Qld Team. Alex Doherty, Josh Bowden, Riley McPharlin and Hudson Dilkes.
A special mention for Hudson Dilkes who received Most Valuable Player for the State Championships.
Congratulations to our Girls South Coast Water Polo team who were also amazing and received the Plate Shield for the event. Led by Jared de Vries and Kaitlyn Webley.
This Gold Medal is the first one for South Coast since 1989 therefore a very exciting medal.
